[Trolls in Gaming] Gamer Rage Quits in MMG Losers Finals - "I'm Really Triggered" [MMG Exclusive]

For transparency, we're sharing a video sent to us last night during our weekly online Super Smash Bros. Wii U tournament. The video was sent by Twitchtv user JeffdaShark, who had an amazing first showing at MMG events this weekend. The issue occurred in the 4th round, and Jeff was rewarded a win, by admins and by his opponent. The rage stirs from the timeliness of admins confirming that the win had been earned not just given on a whim. Jeff made it to winners Semi-finals before falling victim to Hydrocity, the number 2 smash player at MMG, and winner of last night's event.
While waiting for his match in losers final (one game away from winners grand finals), JeffdaShark decided to end his run in the event for the night, stating "imma drop out though. im really triggred that @TheMoneyMatchStream sat here and said LNIM gave me the win after i showed him proof."
We admit our original wording of the win was not the best it could have been, and we addressed this concern with Jeff, who reasoned with us and calmed down, before making his departure. MMG has multiple admins that help run front and back-end operations during events.
JeffdaShark:
Oct 22, 2017 6:49:51 PM jeffdashark yall have a great night
Oct 22, 2017 6:49:42 PM jeffdashark im sorry for everyone in the chat for the disruption
Oct 22, 2017 6:49:08 PM jeffdashark who ever is talking besides @TheMoneyMatchStream should be the t.o

The Troll was Strong on Oct 22nd
This video was followed by troll accounts being made to spam MMG's direct messages and chat on the platform. One account had a similar name to the fighter consumed with rage, JeffdaShark. The anonymous user doing the most harm was, Jeffdeshark. This account was later followed up by an account with the name LcCore_isa_fat_fuk. This was a direct attack on MMG's current streamer (t.o.), The Infinite, who has a gamertag on Nintendo of LcCore.
We are unable to establish the direct root of the trolling that happened in last night's stream, but have had a team meeting to review the concerns of any future occurrences, and how they will be managed as timely as possible.

Final Comments
Last, we'd like to note that Jeff does the right thing here, sending us a video of the match in question. The rage accompanied with the video is understandable when money is on the line, free or not. We do not condone trolling at events and those that exceed the limits of sportsmanship will be timed-out/banned from chat, as to maintain a positive atmosphere. This does not mean that people don't joke around in our chat, but that we recognize there is a level where things cross the line in terms of trolling, and with general cheating. We will diligently work to put a stop to both concerns.
