Security cams, commonly known as CCTV have many bugs & exploits. And they could potentially be a huge backdoor in your network. Often due to vendors but also system-administrators who may hook up the system without changing the default password. But we can go a lot further. • Login credentials are hard coded into the system.
• The login credentials are common default passwords such as 12345, 54321 & password
• There is no other way of login to many devices then as root.
• No firmware updating
• Wrong camera placements
• Being a very low security webserver.
